Jeff Hutt, Spokesperson for Make America Healthy Again PAC, gives a statement on this week's VP Debate.
This week’s VP debate showcased Senator J.D. Vance’s strong command of the issues and empathy for the suffering that millions of Americans are experiencing. Unfortunately, the moderators failed to address the alarming health trends affecting millions of Americans, especially our children. The glaring omission of this pressing crisis facing America today—our nation's rapidly deteriorating public health–indicates how out of touch corporate media is from the shared experiences of everyday Americans.

- Childhood obesity has more than tripled since 1980, now affecting nearly 20% of kids aged 6 to 11. This puts an entire generation at risk for early onset diabetes and heart disease.
- The mental health crisis is skyrocketing, especially among children. There has been a 29% increase in anxiety and depression rates over the past decade, with child emergency room visits for mental health crises jumping by 24% since 2019 alone.
- Rates of Asthma in children has more than doubled since the 1980s, affecting 7.5% of children. Asthma hospitalizations and severe cases continue to disproportionately impact disadvantaged communities, worsened by environmental neglect.
