The Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) PAC commends the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) recent look at banning certain harmful food dyes, including Red Dye No. 3, from consumer products. The PAC points out this significant move by FDA aligns with the longstanding efforts of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., known for his advocacy on removing toxic substances from our food supply and is currently President-elect Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Health & Human Services.
MAHA PAC spokesman, Jeff Hutt issued the following statement:
For decades, Mr. Kennedy has been at the forefront of raising awareness about the dangers of food toxins, emphasizing the health risks associated with artificial additives and ultra-processed foods. His unwavering commitment to public health has been instrumental in bringing these critical issues to the national stage. Notably, his recent presidential campaign amplified these concerns, leading to increased public and governmental attention.

The FDA’s current consideration to ban Red Dye No. 3, a petroleum-derived additive linked to cancer and behavioral issues in children, reflects the growing recognition of these health hazards. This dye has been banned in other countries and, since 1990, has been prohibited in the U.S. for use in topical drugs and cosmetics. However, it remains prevalent in various food products, including candies, sodas, and baked goods. The potential ban signifies a pivotal step towards safeguarding public health and aligns with Mr. Kennedy’s vision for a healthier America.
Hutt continued, “We urge we urge every citizen to contact their U.S. Senators to express support for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s confirmation as HHS Secretary. Every voice is crucial in advocating for leadership that prioritizes the health and well-being of our nation.”
A petition supporting Kennedy's nomination is available for signatures and will be presented to members of the U.S. Senate. Visit https://www.maha.vote/hhs-secretary-confirmation for more information.
